Privacy Policy
Effective 20 August 2026 · Meiotic, Inc.
The short version
We collect nothing. There is no account, no server of ours, and no analytics — your meetings never reach us.
Things leave your phone only when you send them: an email you send, a calendar entry you save, a file you export. Then they go to that service, not to us. What’s yours is yours.
1. What we collect
Nothing.
vabletNotes has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party software development kits. The app contains no code that sends your content anywhere. We cannot read your meetings, your notes or your contacts, because they never reach us.
2. What is stored on your device
The app keeps the following in its own storage on your iPhone or iPad:
- Audio-derived text. Speech is transcribed as it is spoken. The app does not save an audio recording; it saves the resulting text.
- Transcripts of meetings and notes.
- Notes written from those transcripts, whether by the on-device model or by you.
- People you have chosen to associate with a meeting or note — their name, and where you have selected it, their email address, role and company.
- Follow-up emails you have composed in the app, together with who they were addressed to.
- Files you have attached to a meeting, copied into the app so they can be sent later.
- Your own details — the name, address and signature block used to sign a follow-up.
- Your settings, including the automatic behaviours you have switched on.
This information stays on your device. It is included in your device's own backups (iCloud or a computer) according to your iOS settings, which are yours to control.
3. Permissions, and why each is asked for
| Permission | Why | What happens to it |
|---|---|---|
| Microphone | To hear speech during a recording you start | Converted to text on the device; no audio file is retained by the app |
| Speech Recognition | To turn that speech into text | Performed on-device. The app requires on-device recognition and will not fall back to a network service |
| Contacts | So you can choose who a meeting or note is about | Only the people you select are copied into the app. The app does not read, upload or scan your address book otherwise |
| Calendar (write only) | To add a meeting entry when you ask for one | The app can add entries. It cannot read your calendar |
Every one of these is optional. Declining any of them limits the related feature and nothing else.
4. On-device processing
Transcription and note writing use Apple's on-device speech and language technologies, including Apple Intelligence on devices that support it. This processing happens on your device.
Apple's own terms govern the operating system features the app relies on. Where a feature of iOS itself involves Apple's servers, that is Apple's processing under Apple's policy, not ours.
5. When information leaves your device
Only when you send it. Specifically:
- Email. When you send a follow-up, the message opens in your mail app and you press send. The message then travels through your email provider to the people you addressed it to. We are not a party to it.
- Calendar. A calendar entry you ask for is written to your calendar, which may sync to whatever account that calendar belongs to.
- Sharing and export. A CSV export, a backup file, or anything you share goes wherever you send it.
- Attachments. A file you attach to an email travels with that email.
We do not make an unqualified claim that nothing ever leaves your device, because you can choose to send things, and when you do they go where you sent them.
6. Purchases
vabletNotes offers an optional paid subscription. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple tells us only whether a subscription is active, and provides aggregate sales reporting. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
7. Information Apple may hold
Independently of us, Apple collects certain information when you download an app, make a purchase, or opt in to share crash and usage data with developers. Where crash reports are shared with us by Apple, they are aggregated and do not contain your meetings, notes or transcripts. This is Apple's collection under Apple's policy, and you can change it in your device settings.
8. Keeping and deleting your information
Your content stays on your device until you delete it or remove the app.
- Deleting a meeting or note deletes its transcript and notes with it.
- Deleting a person removes them from the app; it does not touch your address-book card.
- Removing the app removes everything the app stored on the device.
- A backup file you exported is yours, and is deleted wherever you put it.
Because we hold nothing, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. Requests about information Apple holds should go to Apple.
9. Your rights
Data-protection laws including the GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA give you rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and objection over personal information a company holds about you.
Meiotic, Inc. holds no personal information collected through vabletNotes, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, delete or transfer. Your content is in your possession on your own device, where you can read, change, export or destroy it at any time. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not profile users, because we have none.
If you believe we hold information about you and wish to exercise a right, write to [email protected] and we will respond within the period the applicable law requires.
10. Children
vabletNotes is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
11. Recording other people
The app records conversations at your instruction. Laws on recording conversations differ by country and by state, and in many places every participant must consent. Complying with the law where you are, and telling the people in the room, is your responsibility. The app is a tool; how you use it is your decision.
12. Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
